Phone Settings
Setting names may vary depending on your device model and operating system version. Not all devices will have every setting listed below; simply enable whichever options are available on your child’s device.
Network Settings
Settings > SIM & Data Management > Data Management
Data Saver: Disabled.
Battery Settings
Settings > Battery
Power Saving Mode: Off.
Smart Power Protection: Off.
Smart Power-Saving Scenarios: Disable "Sleep Standby Optimization."
High Performance Mode: On.
App Quick Freeze: Automatic "Quick Freeze" for VigilKids is disabled. (For ColorOS versions 5.1–7: Go to "Settings > Battery" and enable "App Quick Freeze." You can then disable the "Quick Freeze" feature specifically for the VigilKids app.)
On Android 10 (ColorOS 11), please go to App Battery Management > VigilKids and enable the following options: "Allow full background activity," "Allow auto-launch," and "Allow associated launch."
App Settings
Settings > App Management > App List > VigilKids
Data Usage: Disable "Restrict mobile data" and "Restrict Wi-Fi." Enable "Allow background data usage."
Power Consumption Management: Enable "Allow background activity."
Notification Management: Disable "Allow notifications."
Auto-launch Management: Select VigilKids and ensure that both "Auto-launch at startup" and "Auto-launch in the background" are enabled.
Paths for managing auto-launch settings in other system versions:
ColorOS 12 and later: Go to "Settings > Apps > Auto-launch," locate the desired app, and toggle it on or off. (The system allows a maximum of 5 apps—that are not recommended for auto-launch—to be set to auto-launch.)
ColorOS 7–11.3: Go to "Phone Manager > Permissions & Privacy > Auto-launch Management," or navigate to "Settings > App Management > Auto-launch Management," locate the desired app, and toggle it on or off.
ColorOS 3.0–6.2: Go to "Phone Manager > Permissions & Privacy > Auto-launch Management."
ColorOS 2.0: Go to "Security Center > Permissions & Privacy (or Permission Management) > Auto-launch Management."
ColorOS 1.0: Go to "Settings > Security Services > Personal Information & Security > Auto-launch Management."
Unrestricted Data Usage
Search for "data usage" in your system settings and navigate to "unrestricted data usage." Ensure that VigilKids is set to have unrestricted data usage.
Accessibility Settings
Search for "accessibility" in your system settings and navigate to the "accessibility menu." Ensure that the "accessibility menu" shortcut is turned off.
