Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern use of VigilTime. By installing or using VigilTime, you agree to these Terms. If you configure VigilTime on another person’s device, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.

2. Service description

VigilTime provides on-device screen-time reports, app-usage limits, focus timers, focus records, restriction-password protection, and related local device controls. Availability may vary by Android version and device manufacturer.

3. Authorized use

• Use VigilTime only on a device you own, manage, or are authorized to supervise.
• Do not use VigilTime for unlawful monitoring, harassment, coercion, or privacy violations.
• Do not misrepresent VigilTime as an official Android or Google service.

4. Permissions

Some features require Usage Access, Display over other apps, Device Administrator, or foreground-service capability. Users control whether to grant these permissions. If access is declined or revoked, related features may stop working.

5. Local data

Core screen-time, app-usage, focus, and app-limit data is stored locally. VigilTime does not maintain a cloud account or remote copy of this data. Users are responsible for local backups and understand that clearing storage or uninstalling the app removes local records.

6. Restriction password

Users are responsible for protecting the restriction password. Any multiplication-based recovery flow is a convenience feature and is not a high-security identity-verification method.

7. Acceptable use

You may not reverse engineer, distribute malicious modifications, interfere with the app, use it unlawfully, or attempt to bypass applicable platform security except where permitted by law.

8. External websites

VigilTime may open support, privacy, or legal pages in the device’s external browser. Those pages are accessed through the browser and may be subject to separate browser and network-provider terms.

9. Updates

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, reliability, or platform compatibility.

10. Disclaimer

VigilTime is provided “as is” and “as available.” It is a habit-guidance and local app-limit tool and does not guarantee that every restriction cannot be bypassed on every Android device.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shenzhen Weizhixingchen Technology Co., Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of local data, or device-access disputes arising from use of VigilTime.

12. Termination

Users may stop using VigilTime at any time by disabling permissions and uninstalling the app.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law, subject to mandatory consumer protections in the user’s jurisdiction.
