How to actually find a phone by number? (Lost my device)

Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a panic. I lost my phone while out today and I’m trying to track it down. I’ve seen a bunch of websites claiming you can "find any phone just by typing in the phone number," but most of them look super sketchy or ask for a subscription immediately.

Does anyone know if these "track by number" services actually work?

I have the IMEI number written down somewhere if that helps, but right now I only have the phone number of the lost device. Any advice on what steps I should take would be hugely appreciated.

Did you have location services turned on? If you can log into your Google or iCloud account from another laptop, you can see the last known location. Forget the "find by number" sites, they don't have access to cellular towers.

Honestly, the "type in a number and see a GPS dot" sites are almost always fake. If you didn't have Find My iPhone or Google's Find My Device set up beforehand, it gets tricky.
